The final bill transfers from the Revenue Dept. to sheriffs authority to issue concealed weapons permits and requires public school staff to annually participate in an active shooter drill. It also lets citizens of other countries get concealed weapons permits if they are permanent residents. The original bill required each school distrcit to teach the NRA's Eddie Eagle Gunsafe Program or similar program to first grade students.
