That's Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal on the Senate floor debating a bill that would increase the amount of funding given to workers who become disabled on the job.

The Senate voted on Monday to eliminate the political commission that would decide the amount of money given to the fund.

Republican Senator and bill sponsor Scott Rupp says he wants the power to be given to the Department of Labor.

The Senate has not yet voted on the percentage of money that will go towards the fund.

The Senate is set to continue to debate the bill on Tuesday.
