Wrap: St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay and the president of the St. Louis Cardinals are asking the state to finance 17 million dollars to develop the area around Busch Stadium.

This is part of a $100 million dollar plan to develop the blighted area around Busch Stadium.

The Department of Economic Development says the city of St. Louis meets the requirements to apply for tax incentives from the state.

Republican Senator Jason Crowell says these stimulus plans aren't a good idea.
