Nieves trial postponed

Intro:  A hearing to put a restraining order on a top Missouri Republican accused of beating an aide was delayed today. Scott Kanowsky has more from Jefferson City.

Wrap: The lawyers for state representative Brian Nieves and a rival politician's campaign aide say they agreed to the delay to "get more facts."

But the aide's attorney, Michael Byrne, says the case should continue in a few days.

Shawn Bell accuses Nieves, the Missouri House Majority Whip, of beating and threatening him in Franklin County last month.
 
Bell, a Jefferson City resident, requested a restraining order in the Cole County Circuit court.
