| Description: It's probably the largest, most impressive Capitol rotunda chandelier of any in the United States. |
That's Tom Sater, restoration consultant for the Missouri State Capitol.
He was in charge of putting the massive Capitol chandelier back up in the air one year from the day it fell.
That day is tomorrow, Friday the ninth..They're one day ahead of schedule.
The cost of the restoration amounted close to 500 thousand dollars...a lot more than the 5 thousand dollars the chandelier was bought for in 1918.
From the state Capitol, Fanna Haile-Selassie, KMOX News.
Tomorrow will be one year after the Missouri state Capitol Chandelier fell.
Today the light fixture is up and running and working more efficiently than before.
It was damaged after a cable stretched to far during the yearly routine maintenance check of the lamps.
