Intro: Nearly two dozen states have confirmed cases of E. coli linked to fresh bagged spinach.  According to reports more than one hundred people are believed to have eaten the bacteria-rooted produce. D'Anthony (DEE-Anthony) White has more from Jefferson City.
Although there have been no reports of the bacteria in Missouri, local grocers have taken steps to ensure public health.
Spokesperson for Shop N' Save, Rebecca Herbst says the chain is taking precautions.
The outbreak continues to spread across the nation, most recently hitting Illinois and Nebraska. The department of health reiterates the Food and Drug Administration's request that Americans avoid all fresh spinach. From Jefferson City, I'm D'Anthony White.
