One of the hottest issues on the Missouri ballot is the stem cell initiative.  Its origin and future in the Missouri Senate hinges on one man, Senator Matt Bartle.

While election night watch parties are getting underway, the Kansas City area republican will continue his own tradition of running ten miles alone. 

He says he started doing this in his first run for office in 1998 and remembers every one since. 

He says if the measure fails, he plans to bring it before the Senate in January.
