Powerball jackpots and odds increase

Powerball lottery players will soon have less of a chance to win a bigger jackpot.

Rebecca Sapakie has the story in Jefferson City.

The first Powerballchanges ever will double the minimum jackpot to ten million dollars but decrease your chances of winning it to about one in eighty million.

A ticket will still cost a buck, but some of the smaller prizes will double or triple and be a little easier to win.

Gary Gonder is a spokesman for the Missouri Lottery Commission. He says the changes should increase state revenue.
