HMO Bill Gets Governor's Support

State Capital Bureau The governor has changed his position and come out in general support of proposed HMO regulation.

Mention of managed care was noticably absent in Governor Carnahan's state of the state address last month.

And in a press confrence that followed, Carnahan voiced concerns about the HMO regulation bill.

But in a house critical issues meeting discussing the bill to regulate managed care, Michael Hartman from the governors office offered his general support.
