Missouri's legislators have a few more hours to comply with new federal law or risk loosing millions of dollars in federal money.
Susan Batt reports from the state capital.
Legislators must enact federally mandated child support enforcement reforms by six o'clock tonight or loose more than $62 million dollars of federal money.
With the new rules, deadbeat parents can have their driver's and professional licenses revoked.
This bill must compete for today's time with other major issues like welfare reform and a multi-million dollar tax cut, but sponsor St. Louis City Representative Pat Dougherty is hopeful.
Both the senate and the house must vote on the bill again before tonight's deadline.
From Jefferson City, I'm Susan Batt.
